1. Acceptance of Terms
By using our website, submitting a DNA sample, or engaging with any services provided by Genetix Lab Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use our services.
2. Services Provided
Genetix Lab Services provides DNA sample collection services for a variety of purposes, including paternity testing, ancestry analysis, and non-invasive prenatal testing. Please note that we are not a laboratory and do not conduct any DNA testing ourselves. We collect your DNA samples and send them to an accredited laboratory for analysis. The laboratory conducting the testing is responsible for the analysis and generation of the test results.
3. Eligibility
To use our services, you must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must provide consent for you to use our services.
4. User Responsibilities
When using our services, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete, and current information.
- Not engage in any activity that may harm, disable, or impair the website or services.
- Use the services solely for lawful purposes and in compliance with these Terms.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for all activities that occur under your account.
5. Consent for DNA Testing
By submitting a DNA sample for collection, you confirm that you have the legal authority to provide the sample and that you give full consent for Genetix Lab Services to collect and send your DNA to an accredited lab for analysis.
6. Pricing and Payment
All prices for services are listed on our website and are subject to change at any time. Payment for services must be made in full at the time of order unless otherwise specified. Genetix Lab Services reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion.
7. Refund Policy
Refunds may be considered at the discretion of Genetix Lab Services and may be subject to administrative and handling fees. Partial payments and deposits are non-refundable. If a payment is made in full and the appointment is later canceled, it will be subject to a $25 cancellation fee for after-birth DNA testing and a $200 non-refundable cancellation fee for non-invasive prenatal testing.
No refunds will be issued if:
- Services have been completed.
- Your DNA kit or supplies have been shipped.
- Cancellation of services is made more than 48 hours after payment.
All DNA testing services have an estimated completion time listed online. Due to the scientific nature of DNA testing, these timeframes can vary. While results are often completed earlier than expected, they may also exceed the estimated timeframe. Once testing is initiated, no refunds will be issued.
8. Cancellation and Termination
You may cancel services within 48 hours of payment, subject to our Refund Policy. Genetix Lab Services reserves the right to terminate or suspend access to our services at any time for any reason, including violations of these Terms.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of Genetix Lab Services and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not use, reproduce, distribute, or display any content from our website without our express written consent.
10. Limitation of Liability
While Genetix Lab Services strives to provide accurate and reliable DNA sample collection services, we do not guarantee the accuracy or timeliness of results generated by the laboratory. By using our services, you agree that Genetix Lab Services shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or use, arising from or related to the use of our services or results from the laboratory.
11. Security Breaches
At Genetix Lab Services, we maintain stringent security protocols to protect your personal and genetic information. Although data breaches are extremely rare, no system is entirely immune to risks. In the unlikely event of a security breach, we will take immediate action to contain the situation, notify affected individuals, and comply with any legal requirements. Genetix Lab Services shall not be held liable for any unauthorized access, hacking, or other security breaches that are beyond our control, and you agree that any resulting damages or losses are not the responsibility of Genetix Lab Services. Please rest assured that we are continually enhancing our security measures to minimize such risks.
12. Right to Refuse Service
Genetix Lab Services reserves the right to refuse service to any individual or entity at our sole discretion. We may refuse service in instances where doing so would violate laws, ethical guidelines, or internal policies.
